Wednesday Night at Camp Adventure

I can't wait for Wednesday Night at Camp Adventure this summer!  Camp is a pressure cooker for Jesus and every year we get to witness hundreds of students and counselors taking MASSIVE STEPS towards Christ! Wednesday Night at camp is always one of my highlights! My prayer for all students is that at some point they will GIVE their lives to Christ and camp is the perfect organic environment where it seems safe for students to do that.  Obviously, it can and does happen anywhere but I love to see students reconnect and connect with God at camp.

One thing you NEVER outgrow

I was listening to John Piper the other day and he said one of the most profound things I've EVER heard.  He said, 

"YOU NEVER OUTGROW YOUR NEED FOR THE GOSPEL"

Enough said.

Would Jesus come to your youth group?

This is one of the many questions I come back to on a regular basis as our ministry grows. This is a question I would encourage you to consider as you do ministry whether it's childrens, youth, college or adults ministry.

Here's how this question helps me:

• It helps me filter what we're going to do and what we're not going to do.  
• It helps me stay center as I teach and lined up teachers for our platform.
• It helps me remember that EVERYTHING is level at the foot of the cross.
• It helps me force the tough scriptures into every message.
• It helps me push for excellence EVERY time!
• It helps me remember to promote HIM NOT US!
