Blink Parenting Series Week 1 Notes

We kicked off our “Blink” Series here at Granger this weekend and I’m so excited because I need the wisdom.
Getting ready to have our first child there’s a fun urgency that I feel about being prepared for when she gets here.  Brooke’s due May 16th and it’s FAST approaching.

NEW GSM Dating Series for High School coming this week!

NEW GSM Dating Series for High School coming this week!

I can’t wait for this series to start in GSM High School this week!  It’s about to rock somebody’s world!  It’s packed with all the stuff that makes the high school environment so awkward that you can cut th
e tension with a knife.
In a series like this, somebody always gets a foul or two called [...]

Amazed by First Wednesday

It’s 2:30 a.m. and I’m still on fire from First Wednesday tonight at GCC.  John 3:16 baby!  This was my first time speaking at First Wednesday and there aren’t words yet to describe my experience but it was good.
A few people asked me for the lyrics to the Phil Wickham song I was referencing.  It’s [...]

Online Church Rocks!

I’m still on vacation in California with Brooke but we still went to church at GCC today (probably yesterday when ur reading this) through our online church and I’m thoroughly impressed (not that online church needed my approval, jus sayin it was pretty awesome!).

One-Liners I loved: GCC Weekend 12-26-09

Here’s some of the one liners I wrote down from Dr. Bob’s message this past weekend at GCC:

God has little to do with shame and guilt, LOVE is his last word.
We [GCC] see non-Christians, not as pagan or heathen, but just as Jesus does, “lost coin”, “lost sheep”, AS “A TREASURE”!
Nobody will steal my joy, [...]

Five Refrigerator Resolutions for 2010

These are from Dr. Bob’s message in this weekend’s service at GCC. Brooke and I are committing to doing these things in 2010 with a bunch of other GCC friends!

I will be more CHILD-LIKE. (Matt 18:3)
I will FORGIVE as I’ve been FORGIVEN. (Heb.12:15)
I will become HOMU UNIUS LIBRI or ‘a person of One Book’ [...]

A students perspective the GCC Baptism

I read this over on Brittany’s blog!  Brittany is one of our amazing freshman GSMer’s.  She’s a phenomenal student and one of those people you just love being around!  I see Jesus all over Brittany and she’s an incredible ambassador for the Kingdom!
About Baptism a few weeks ago she wrote:
A week ago today, I got [...]

First Wednesday Def Poetry – Cool in ‘09

Here’s the poem I had a chance to do at First Wednesday last night. I think Kristin Baker should get all the credit! She’s awesome.
This is a Def Poetry/Comedic style poem. It was so much fun, you can only tell in part of it, but the crowd was responded with me! [...]
